Following our previous post we have now heard from Lancashire County Council and Stagecoach, who have supplied information to fill the gaps in our knowledge about buses over Christmas. Stagecoach has also updated its own website and moved the Christmas service details to a more prominent position.
We can say therefore with confidence that buses over Christmas and the New Year will run as follows:
Christmas Eve 24 December: Normal service up to approximately 19.00hrs. Details of last buses are shown on this link. Services not mentioned (including all Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire services) will run to a normal timetable.
Christmas Day 25 December: No buses.
Boxing Day 26 December: A special timetable will operate on services 1A 2X 6A 40 55 100 and a Sunday service will operate on the 555. Details of the special services are on this link.
Sunday 27 December: A Sunday timetable will operate on all services in the Lancaster District
Monday 28 December: A Sunday timetable will operate on all services in the Lancaster District
Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th December: A normal (school holiday) timetable will operate on all services.
New Year's Eve, 31st December: Normal service up to approximately 19.00hrs. Details of last buses are shown on this link. Services not mentioned (including all Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire services) will run to a normal timetable.
New Year's Day 1st January: No buses
Saturday 2nd January. Normal Saturday timetable on all services.
